Healing, Grief & Wellness

Healing is part of stability, not something that comes after it.

Housing stability is important, but housing alone does not heal the experiences that many system-impacted young adults carry.

Living Waters recognizes that foster care, family separation, homelessness, violence, incarceration, trafficking, loss and repeated system involvement can create lasting emotional and psychological impacts.

Our approach incorporates healing into the larger pathway toward stability.

What’s included

Support across the whole person

  • Trauma-informed support
  • Peer support
  • Grief support
  • Emotional-regulation resources
  • Wellness education
  • Connections to licensed clinical providers
  • Mental-health referrals
  • Community healing opportunities
  • Mentorship and supportive relationships

Living Waters does not provide licensed therapy. Clinical care is accessed through licensed providers we refer and connect participants to.

We do not expect young adults to separate their emotional well-being from their housing, employment, education or other goals.

Our goal is to create safe and culturally responsive pathways where young adults can receive support, build healthy relationships, develop coping tools and connect with professionals when clinical care is needed.
